Life is a series of mins. When an individual examines life in minutes vs hours, days, weeks, and years it is easier to make progress. As a society, we suspect we must have giant blocks of time to get anything done, yet, what's true is that finding things that may be done in 2 minutes really is a particularly freeing activity ; very enabling.

So, what's the 2-Minute Rule? The 2-Minute Rule is a very effective system that anyone can use anytime – anywhere. The 2-Minute rule, in effect , is having a look at things that can be done in 2 minutes. Folks have an inclination to let these 2 minute opportunities pass them by because they think that 2 minutes aren't enough time to get anything done.

Here's the challenge – look around when you have a 2 mins as you are waiting to make a booked telephone call, go pick the children up from college, finishing cooking dinner – you get the idea – what do you see that you could do that would take only 2 minutes?

Tasks such as : sort the mail, unload the dishwasher, put a ton of clothes in the washer, sweep the front porch, call the groomer for an appointment for your dogs, file, pay a bill or 2, clear out a kitchen drawer, hear a YouTube video on setting up a Twitter account, and so on. You get the picture – right?

Getting in the practice of using this 2-Minute Rule is so enabling, energizing, and simply helps you become organized and productive.

As you go through your day, ask “is there anything I could do with this block of time”? If so , do it. Sometimes the 2 minutes can become five minutes – that is okay. You may also set a timer if you only have a few minutes and do not need to forget to get on a scheduled call or pick up the youngsters from football practice.

The more you use this 2-Minute Rule ( kind of ), the more excited you'll become about being more organized, having less debris, having less distractions, etc. Our minds are always nagging us about things that need to get done, fretting about keys that are lost, worrying, and feeling guilty. When you incorporate the 2-Minute Rule you'll hear less mind chat.

people have an inclination to discount the power of this tiny 2-Minute Rule – believing that doing something for 2 mins cannot possibly contribute in their lives and how they feel. Word to the smart – “try it, you may like it.”.
